Career Resources

Below are some resources you can use to work on your Term 2 Project. Remember, you can always ask Ms. Barrett for assistance in locating information.

Currently, on loan from another library, we have two excellent resources. Be sure to use them while they are available.

You may also search our catalog by clicking the link to the right.

Databases

Click the link to the Databases link to the right to access all of the electronic databases this library offers. We will spend some time reviewing later on how to access these databases, and what they offer. The ones recommended for this project are:

General OneFile

Expanded Academic ASAP - articles from scholarly journals, news magazines, and newspapers on topics from arts and the humanities to social sciences, science & technology.

General Business File ASAP - access to a combination of broker research reports, trade publications, newspapers, journals and company directory listings with full text and images available.

General Reference Center Gold - a general interest database of articles from magazines, reference books, and newspapers, many with full-text and images.

Web Sites
Again, we will spend some time learning how to analyze web sites. Below is the website we will review to evaluate web sites:

net.TUTOR: Evaluating Websites

Five Criteria for Evaluating Web Pages

Below are some examples of why we evaluate:
